Kerala is located at the Southwestern tip of India, with Arabian Sea in the west and Western Ghats in the east as borders. Kerala’s neighboring states are Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The Arabian Sea in the west opens the 560 km long state to international trade. The exotic greenery through out the state is the contribution of heavy rainfall brought by the Western Ghats.

Kerala comprises only 1.3% of India’s area. For administrative convenience, the state is divided into fourteen districts. The specialty with each district is that it has something typical to offer to its visitors. In other states, some districts are specially designed for tourist operations. But here in every district, there are enough things to explore. The landscape is divided mainly into three, the lowlands, midlands and the highlands. Endless backwaters and the deltas of forty-four rivers, network the lowest coastal plain. The midlands are rich with rice, banana, coconut, arecanut and vegetable plantations. The forested highlands abound in tea, coffee and spice plantations. Kerala Travel will be complete only if all the three landscapes are covered; a travel through the serene beaches, tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters and lust hill stations. Experience in each destination is quite different from the other. This is why tourist flow into this state is showing an annual growth rate of 13 %.
